A year has passed since we signed on with our last host and we were ready to move. After transferring services and going through a 2 week trial, we're happy with the host we've switched to.
There's also the option of putting on virtual private server hosting if our community of forums outruns the regular database server we're on, which is good to know. All together, most things are made just a little bit easier.
We're ramped up and ready to accept new RPG applications! We've done away with our old phpBB2 premodded forums and have created a new offering for phpBB3!
Since the day we started as an RPG community, we've been offering phpBB2 forums for people to use. We slowly added new features and functionality through various modifications (including some of our own) and ended up with a premodded forum with over 60 modifications. With the advent of phpBB3, most of the mods we added for phpBB2 are already included by default, as well as many new features that make the forum much easier to use and maintain.
Lately we've gotten several application requests which we're happy to review. The thing though is for now, we're not actually putting up any new forums until we've got some things better squared with our resource problem.
In response to that, we're actually starting the migration process of moving our forums onto a phpBB3 platform. phpBB3 has been out for a couple years, but we've been waiting for a few things: elimination of bugs that come with new software and development of phpBB-approved modifications that can supplement the forum with needed improvements.
Yesterday, the server host disabled the site since it was using an excess amount of database resources. Since the resources are shared with other sites on the server, this caused problems for others, and they determined that the problems went away when our site was disabled.
For now, they've enabled the site again, but asked that the forums be disabled until we can find a more resource-friendly solution (or if we upgrade to a virtual private server). Since we don't have the budget to do VPS (at least here), we are investigating what we can change.
For now, this means that all forums are temporarily disabled and no new forums will be created. The main site will remain online in the interim, so feel free to discuss on the forums. (We switched the current built-in chat to the previous IRC option to also keep database usage down.)

First up we have Kaurei: 1 Planet, Endless Stories, which showcases the co-existence of furs and humans in a world with a variety of different dimensions to have fun in.
We've added in new ways for you to log into the site! Hopefully both options will make it easier for you to log in and contribute!
Facebook Connect will now let you log in with your Facebook account if you have one. Connect and become friends with people on the site! And OpenID will also let you log in with your Google account (Gmail, Calendar, etc). Hope you enjoy!
A year has passed since the mysterious Na'vi people fought the great war against the invading "sky people" in the beautiful world of Pandora. The clans who helped protect their land have gone back to their homes, and the Na'vi people are once again at peace. But how long can peace last?
A new forum system has been added to let people have an outlet to discuss things on the site! We've been hoping to provide some kind of central place where people from the different forums could actually meet each other. The forums have been placed to hopefully facilitate more interaction between RPG players in the Twilightus Community. So jump on in and post! :D
The Help forum is available if you find yourself needing help with understanding your forum. Help on the forum is on a volunteer basis, so if a question is asked and you think you know the answer, please jump in to the topic and let them know!
Special to the forum is the General section
After much testing we've gone with Drupal for a content management system and are loving how it works.
We looked at Wordpress, we looked at Joomla. Drupal just looks good for what we're looking to do. We want to make the site more open with more interactivity and this cms can help us get there.
