Right Under Sky Tree at Shioiri Park

Shioiri Park is located alongside the Sumidagawa River in the downtown Tokyo. This park is popular among the local residents of the ward to relax and enjoy the view of the Tokyo Sky Tree and the Sumida River. Athletic facilities and the Twin Tower playground are crowded with families with small children. The sundial surrounded by the herb garden is the symbol and not to be missed.

A 2.3km one-way running course has been set up on the riverbed along the Sumida River. It is very popular among runners because you can see the Tokyo Sky Tree while running. The surface of the course is made of urethane resin, and the distance is marked every 100 meters, making it a great place for runners. On the other hand, there is little shade on the riverbed because of the great view, so be careful of heat stroke. The course is located in the downtown area where there are many public bathhouses, so it is also a good idea to sweat it out at a public bathhouse after your run.
