Kaurei

Kaurei is a planet where a creature's desires can be realized. It is also a place free from the divider between the furry universe, and the human universe, which means that humans and furs co-exist. They may not do so in harmony, but humans and furs have lived on Kaurei for as long as anyone can remember, or has recorded. Also, on this planet, there are technologies and magics from every point on every time-line in existence, even some electronics. One might imagine that this complicates life on Kaurei quite a bit, and it would. However, not all these technologies co-exist as the denizens of the planet do.

There are separate dimensions that compose of this one planet, and all these dimensions house a different set of technologies and/or magics. Also, all these dimensions have a different era, or age, as the nexus of the magics and technologies native to that dimension. It is impossible for a technology or magic to enter a dimension where it was not before. For instance, say you wished to go to the dimension of medieval warfare, and you were coming from the age of lasers and spacial travel. Any gear you possessed in the dimension of lasers and spacial travel would be taken from you and replaced with gear of comparable worth in the dimension of medieval warfare. This kind of trade would give you a crossbow for a high caliber laser rifle, or a short sword for an energy blade of similar size. One might wonder, how would one get to one dimension from another? The answer is the gates at the poles of each dimension. One should go up to such a gate, think of the dimension one wishes to go to very clearly, and then step into the gate.
