Arena: Age of The Gladiator caters to all types of roll players. From people wanting bloody mass battles where you control your squads moderated by battle masters or a true test of skill and writing style in dual. Also Arena: AoTG offers those who wish to role play every opportunity in character building scenarios and events.

The main theme of Arena is you running your own squad of gladiators and competing for glory against the empires best or other players. You can customise you warriors from a huge verity of races, classes, weapons, skills, magic or even add some thing exotic with mythical beasts. By competing in battles and events you earn rewards to upgrade you squad.

The game types include:

Melee, Where two squads of gladiators enter and compete with the help of a battle masters. These battles work by each person taking it in turns to post the squads orders and the other posting their defences/counter attacks. The battle master who is ether a moderators or approved member of the board, takes all the information in and posts the results of the conflict. This continues until only one squad is left standing.

Arena challenge, This is very similar to a normal melee apart from your opponent is totally controlled by the battle master and usually themed or limited. The battle often rewards unique equipment, characters or other worth while rewards.

Dual, Unlike the previous two the dual is not moderated per say. Instead these battles are governed by rules and the two competitors must post detailed battle posts describing their attacks and reactions to your opponents. This game type is usually decided by a public or moderator vote and the reward is given based on the length and quality of the battle.

Role-play, a role-play is simply an activity where one or more people set up an event or with one or more character each and use them to do what ever they want. These arnt moderated but are judged more on writing style and content rather than the outcome.
