Was it the past, the future or just on a remote planet far away, this does not matter. A place where many Floating Islands co-exist, connected by a single AirShip, a flying ship that can transport people.
Although high technogology resides in OakStory, no use is made of it in combat.
First, the humans and the "creatures" that inhabited the Islands peacefully co-existed. Until Reaper, one of the most powerful creatures, came to the Island that inhabited the World Tree, a large tree placed exactly in the middle of all the island, showing to be hart of the Islands. Reaper destroyed the tree in order to retrieve it's fruits, whom it fed to the "creatures" so that they could obtain supernatural powers.
The human race was at the edge of extinsion now until Zekum, the god of OakTale, came. It had the form of a large totempole with a hole for the mouth with eyes above it, attached to it were 8 stone arms, each on one side, having a different purpose.
Zekum destroyed the Tree's fruits and restored the Tree to it's original glory. The "creatures" were bitter rivals of the humans now due to their thought that they had summoned Zekum, they renamed themselves to Monsters and no longer wished to Co-Exist with these beings.
From the rise and fall of majestic kingdoms to the political conflicts in a highly advanced society, the Twilightus Universe is filled with all sorts of adventures yet to be explored.
