Niigata Festival Fireworks Display

Event
The Niigata Festival is held in Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture every year in the beginning of August. The festival is held over three days, and has Japan's largest Minyo Nagashi (folk dancing parade), the Sumiyoshi Parade and Citizen Mikoshi (portable shrine), all which draw large crowds of all ages. The fireworks show on the final day is full of highlights like Niagara Falls fireworks that look like waterfalls shining on the Shinano River and starmines coloring the night sky. Among them is the masterpiece Evolution, a large starmine that is launched all at once.
