Tsuchiura All Japan Fireworks Competition

Event
Along with the Nagaoka Festival Fireworks and the Omagari Fireworks this is known as one of Japan's three greatest traditional fireworks festivals. Attending this display allows spectators to enjoy some of Japan's finest fireworks created by the best pyrotechnics masters from all over the country. Held along the Sakura River, this display features up to 20,000 fireworks, including massive globes 10 times normal size, huge starmines, and specially created fireworks to light up the autumn night sky. Visitors can buy refreshments from food booths set up by local gourmet shops, and certain shops make the famous Fireworks Box Lunch available to visitors by pre-order, all part of the festive mood that surrounds the competition.
